Driveways can be quite the eyesore - especially if it is stuck right in front of your house! Beautify the space by installing interlock, stones or for a more French country look - beach pebbles!
Interlock is an excellent material because it offers a clean old-world elegance that is smooth on your ride. Since interlock is moulded, the consistency of the stones makes it easy to install and thus reduces your labour costs. The stones are very durable and should last for years, but should damage be done, it is fairly easy to repair or replace. Unlike concrete or asphalt, you just have to remove the damaged pieces to repair it. Another advantage of the stones coming from a factory is that the colours are consistent and you would be able to replace the stone in the exact shape and colour.

The most cost-effective option is beach pebble. These rounded stones come in varying colours (grey, white, beige, terracotta, and a blend) and is reminiscent of a Japanese stone garden or a country garden. This is the easiest to install and replace. The down-side to beach pebble is that the stones may wander off in storms and could be tricky to shovel in the winter.
If you love the look of natural stone, or would like to match your driveway with other natural stone elements in your walkway or yard, you could use the natural stone of your choice to frame your driveway. You can really boost the look of your existing asphalt or interlock driveway by simply adding the stones to the sides. Not only does it increase the stylistic "ooh la la" of your home, but on a practical note, it widens the driveway for ease of access (not to mention, save your shoes and pant-legs from the snow bank!). If driveway widening is what you're looking for, interlock can also do the trick!
If extra parking space is called for, a parking pad could be made with interlock or beach pebble. Some of our customers have a separate or connected parking garage in the back of the house and could convert the connecting patch of grass as an extra parking space. Since most neighbourhoods do not permit extended or over-night parking, this is an excellent solution for the extra car or guests. Since this pad is made with beautiful interlock stones, it looks just as good without a car on it, unlike a big patch of asphalt or concrete!
